Good Eats

Man I love food! Darn it! Kaisara & I tried a couple new restaurants this week. Avila's El Ranchito. Tasty! It's a little Mexican food place (ok, so that was obvious) that's not far from out house. We've driven by it tons of times & always comment that it looks like a place we'd like to try. Not a big franchise or chain but not a scary hole in the wall. Walking up to the place we couldn't really tell where the entrance was. After being seated, we couldn't tell if we were in an enclosed patio or part of the actual building. So it was a little bizarre. The food was great, the servers were friendly & the whole joint was super clean. They had all this stuff all over the place, knick-knacks, house plants, dried blow fish, etc. We didn't see a speck of dust on any of it.

Yesterday we had a realtor flyer on our porch. "I can sell your house, blah, blah, blah..." But wait, what's this? I flyer from a new pizza joint with news of a free small cheese pizza? Count us in! After taking a kickboxing class we went for our free pizza (great timing, I know.) The flyer was signed by "Allan" so when a friendly guy welcomes us to his empty restaurant, we ask, & yes, he's Allan. We gave him our flyer & also ordered a spinach salad to split (hey man, we're working out!) The salad was great, the home made dressing was great & the pizza was awesome. He came out & chatted with us & bit. We chatted about New York (he's from Brooklyn). No wonder his pizza's so good. Looks like we got a new pizza place!
