Last night our whole block lost electricity for over an hour. It's a good thing we'd already planned on barbecuing. MMMM...tritip! Not knowing how long we'd be without power we settled in for a great evening. We lit the grill, lit a bunch of candles on our patio, ate tortilla chips with guacamole, some frozen veggies (good thing our stove is gas) & our tritip steaks. After that we played Scrabble. Just like camping, drunk neighbors & all! After dinner & shortly into the game the lights came back on. The whole neighborhood cheered. Kaisara & I just looked at each other. He got up, went through the house & turned all the lights off & we continued our game. What a great night. Sure beats the evening of laundry we had planned.

Lights Out!

Thanks! I won 231 to 206. I got "weaker" & "ding" on triple word scores. He got "rental" & "but" on 2 others but was stuck with a q at the end.
That sounds so fun! We would have "power cuts" in Zim all the time...ahh, so many memories! Steve and I play scrabble but with the dictonary! Thats more fun...we learn new words that way!!!!!
